This forged ceiling light draws on classic lantern forms. It suits traditional and rustic interiors, as well as spaces needing a historic or industrial accent, including manor houses, restaurants and spacious living rooms.
Technical specifications:
- Dimensions: Height 50 cm, width 32 cm.
- Material: Solid steel with 12x12 mm structural sections and decorative stems 10 mm in diameter.
- Weight: Approx. 10 kg.
- Finish: Hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated as standard.
- Fitting: Prepared for standard lighting installations; fit a compatible bulb.
Manufacture and protection:
Each component is made using traditional artistic blacksmithing. Hot steel is shaped at the anvil and hearth to create individual forms, intricate scrolls and decoration that highlight the crafted character.
The steel receives two surface treatments for durability and protection:
- Hot-dip galvanising: Provides long-term corrosion protection through a zinc-iron alloy layer resistant to rust and mechanical wear.
- Powder coating: Heat-cured powder produces an even decorative surface finish resistant to scratching, fading and weather, adding a barrier over the zinc coating.
Optional patination adds an aged effect or highlights details in gold, copper or antique green, according to your preferences.
