About this project
This forged steel standing lantern draws on craft traditions and organic forms. Its nature-inspired structure combines practical lighting with an individual design for classic and rustic interiors.
Experienced blacksmiths hand-forge each component from solid steel. The traditional hearth-and-anvil process produces individual details and a sturdy structure characteristic of artistic blacksmithing.
Hot-dip galvanising forms a continuous zinc coating for long-term corrosion protection, including in more humid conditions.
Powder coating provides an even decorative finish resistant to mechanical wear and UV. Optional patination, for example in gold, highlights the forged details.
