Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate is made using traditional blacksmithing. Hand-forged at the forge and anvil, its classic design features a subtly curved top rail that adds elegance.

The gate receives a two-stage protective treatment for long-term weather and corrosion resistance:

  • Hot-dip galvanising: An even protective layer covers the metal for comprehensive, long-term corrosion protection.
  • Powder coating: The finish provides the chosen colour and additional resistance to mechanical damage and UV radiation.

The gate mounts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors without on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion at joints. Swing and sliding configurations can be adapted to individual requirements.

We also make gates from customer-supplied designs, with careful execution to match the intended result.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing
