Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought-iron driveway gate with a Tree of Life motif combines a load-bearing steel structure with a sculptural form. A textured, twisted tree trunk divides symmetrically across the leaves, branching into forged boughs with abundant foliage. An arched crown of symmetrical scrolls, spirals and finials tops the gate. A dense lower frieze of rings and paired bars reinforces the structure.

The styling draws on traditional palace ironwork with the flowing organic lines of Art Nouveau. Matching pedestrian gates and fence panels form a coordinated fencing system.

Technical specifications and manufacture:

  • Material and forging: Solid structural-steel sections and bars. Decorative bark, roots, leaves and finials are shaped by traditional hot die forging and open-die forging.
  • Corrosion protection: The structure is hot-dip galvanised by immersion in molten zinc to protect external surfaces and internal spaces.
  • Surface finish: Electrostatic powder coating with heat-cured polyester-epoxy paints, providing a finish resistant to UV, mechanical wear and outdoor conditions.
  • Artistic patination: Leaves, finials and selected scroll details receive a hand-applied classic gold patina to highlight the relief.
  • Automation and fitting: Adjustable high-capacity bearing hinges and reinforced actuator mounting points allow above-ground or underground operators.
From concept to installation

How your project takes shape

  1. Site survey and design

Site survey and adaptation to the ground profile.

  2. Forging and welding

Hand-forming steel in a traditional forge and fitting the gate leaves.

  3. Galvanising and painting

Immersion at 450°C (ISO 1461) plus oven-cured powder coating.

  4. Installation and automation

Resin anchoring without welding at the customer’s property.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.

What determines the price?

The price depends on the clear opening dimensions, material thickness and infill density, ground profile, opening mechanism and selected automation system.
