Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate combines skilled craftsmanship with practical function and timeless appearance. Classic ornamental motifs complement residential architecture and highlight the individual character of the property.

Every component is made by traditional hand forging. Skilled blacksmiths shape and decorate the steel at the anvil and open forge, giving each detail individual, durable character, from precise scrolls to sturdy structural sections.

All metal components receive hot-dip galvanising for durability and weather resistance. A thick, even zinc layer protects the steel against corrosion and reduces the need for corrosion maintenance over many years.

Powder coating supplies the chosen colour and an attractive texture. Charged powder particles are applied to the metal and cured at high temperature, producing a durable finish resistant to scratches, UV radiation and fading.

The gate mounts with dedicated expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors, avoiding on-site welding to prevent local corrosion. The design can be adapted to individual requirements, including a sliding version and automation integration.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
