Form and character

About this project

This quality steel double-leaf wrought driveway gate combines traditional blacksmithing with modern protective treatments.

The design reflects a classic aesthetic, with vertical bars topped by decorative fleur-de-lis finials and solid lower panels. Every detail is precisely forged using traditional techniques for individual character and durable construction.

Production and protection include:

  • Traditional forging: Steel components are shaped at high temperature to create the individual forms and textures of authentic artistic blacksmithing.
  • Hot-dip galvanising by immersion: The finished assembly receives hot-dip galvanising, forming an iron-zinc alloy layer on the steel. This provides comprehensive corrosion protection for lasting resistance to rust, including in demanding weather.
  • Powder coating: After galvanising, a layer of powder paint is applied and cured at high temperature. It adds an attractive finish and resistance to mechanical damage, UV radiation and chemicals. A broad RAL colour range is available.

The gate mounts using screws, chemical anchors or metal anchors without on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion at joints.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
