Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate has a classic ornamental style. Prominent grapevine and leaf motifs are complemented by curved scrollwork and finials along the top.

Traditional blacksmithing techniques are used throughout. Each component is hand-shaped at the anvil and forge, giving the assembly individual character and strength.

The gate receives a two-stage protective treatment for long-term weather and corrosion resistance:

  • Hot-dip galvanising: Immersion in molten zinc forms a durable protective coating bonded to the steel, providing long-term corrosion protection.
  • Powder coating: After galvanising, powder paint is applied and cured in an oven. Available in a broad colour range, it provides an attractive finish resistant to mechanical damage, UV radiation and the weather.

The gate can be fitted to existing masonry or steel posts and integrated with a gate automation system.

From concept to installation

Resin anchoring without welding at the customer’s property.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
