Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate combines precise craftsmanship and durability with an attractive, secure property entrance. Traditional artistic blacksmithing gives each component its own character.

Production begins with traditional metal forging. Skilled blacksmiths heat the steel in a forge and hand-shape it on an anvil. This creates intricate ornamentation and the characteristic strength and individuality of handcrafted metalwork.

Hot-dip galvanising provides long-term weather protection. The finished assembly is immersed in molten zinc at approximately 450°C, creating an iron-zinc alloy coating that protects against corrosion over many years and reduces maintenance needs.

Powder coating completes the finish. Powder paint is applied electrostatically to the galvanised surface and cured in an oven. The even, smooth coating resists UV radiation, scratching, abrasion and demanding environmental conditions while highlighting the forged details.

The gate is fitted without on-site welding to protect the joints from local corrosion. It is secured to posts using:

  • Expansion fixings
  • Chemical anchors
  • Metal anchors

The design can be adapted to individual requirements, including a sliding version or specific dimensions based on the customer’s documentation.

From concept to installation

How your project takes shape

Site survey and adaptation to the ground profile.

  2. Forging and welding

Hand-forming steel in a traditional forge and fitting the gate leaves.

  3. Galvanising and painting

Immersion at 450°C (ISO 1461) plus oven-cured powder coating.

  4. Installation and automation

Resin anchoring without welding at the customer’s property.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.

What determines the price?

The price depends on the clear opening dimensions, material thickness and infill density, ground profile, opening mechanism and selected automation system.
