Form and character

About this project

This hand-forged double-leaf driveway gate features refined classic ornamentation. Each metal component is carefully formed by traditional forge and anvil techniques, producing an individual texture and strong construction.

Construction and finish details:

  • Style: An elegant arched top, intricate botanical and spiral motifs in the lower leaf sections, and decorative finials reflect classic artistic blacksmithing and give the entrance a representative appearance.
  • Construction: A sturdy double-leaf steel swing gate, traditionally forged for lasting durability and stability.
  • Corrosion protection: The complete assembly receives hot-dip galvanising, forming a thick, adherent zinc coating that reaches recesses for long-term protection against corrosion and weather exposure.
  • Surface finish: Carefully applied powder coating covers the surface evenly and resists mechanical damage, UV radiation and chemicals while highlighting the hand-forged details.

The gate is fitted to its supporting posts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors. Installation avoids on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion and preserve the protective coating for stable, long-term use.
