Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate combines sturdy metal construction with the natural appearance of timber in a practical architectural feature. Rich Rococo ornamentation, including intricate forged scrolls and botanical motifs, creates an elegant, representative entrance.

Each steel component is traditionally forged. Decorative details are hand-shaped at the anvil and forge, giving every scroll and motif individual, authentic character together with strength and durability.

All steel parts receive hot-dip galvanising for corrosion protection. Immersion in molten zinc forms a durable protective coating that shields the metal from weather exposure and extends service life.

Powder coating then adds the selected colour and further surface protection. The coating resists scratches, UV radiation and extreme temperatures, helping retain appearance with less frequent maintenance.

The gate is fitted to its supporting posts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors. Installation avoids on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion and preserve the protective coating for stable, long-term use.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
