Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought swing gate combines classic blacksmithing design with practical function. Structural and decorative details, including central ears of grain, scrolls and circles, are made using traditional craft techniques.

The gate is made using traditional blacksmithing techniques. Each component is hand-shaped at the forge and anvil, giving every piece its own character, durability and mechanical strength.

Hot-dip galvanising provides long-term protection against corrosion and weather exposure. The complete assembly is immersed in molten zinc, forming a durable protective coating bonded to the steel.

Powder coating completes the finish, improving resistance to mechanical damage, UV radiation and the weather. It helps retain colour and makes the surface straightforward to maintain.

The gate is fitted to its supporting posts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors. Installation avoids on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion and preserve the protective coating for stable, long-term use.

From concept to installation

  4. Installation and automation

Resin anchoring without welding at the customer’s property.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.

What determines the price?
