About this project
This double-leaf wrought swing gate combines artistic craftsmanship with everyday function. Rich classical botanical ornamentation includes carefully formed vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
The gate is made using traditional blacksmithing techniques. Each component is hand-shaped at the forge and anvil, giving every piece its own character, durability and mechanical strength.
The gate receives a two-stage protective treatment for long-term weather and corrosion resistance:
- Hot-dip galvanising: The steel components are immersed in molten zinc at around 450°C. This creates a thick, metallurgically bonded coating for lasting protection against rust.
- Powder coating: After galvanising, the gate receives a powder coating cured at high temperature. It provides the chosen colour, usually matt black, and an additional protective layer resistant to scratching and UV radiation, helping retain both the colour and corrosion protection.
The gate is fitted to its supporting posts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors. Installation avoids on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion and preserve the protective coating for stable, long-term use.

Surface protection
Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.
Automation-ready design
Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).
Structural fixing
High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
