About this project
This driveway swing gate has a classic artistic blacksmithing style with rich grapevine ornamentation, including forged leaves, shoots and bunches of grapes.
Traditional blacksmithing techniques hand-shape the steel at the anvil and forge, creating individual details and precise patterns such as twisted bars and decorative scrolls.
The protective surface finish supports lasting appearance and service life:
- Hot-dip galvanising: A durable zinc coating forms a corrosion barrier, protecting the steel and the recesses of the assembly for lasting resistance in demanding weather.
- Powder coating: Applied after galvanising, the finish resists mechanical damage, UV radiation and changing weather, providing lasting colour and appearance with less frequent refurbishment.
The sturdy gate is designed for mounting with expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors, using precisely made joints.

Structural fixing
High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
