Form and character

About this project

This double-leaf wrought driveway gate has classic decorative styling created through traditional blacksmithing. Structural and decorative components, including intricate S-scrolls and rosettes, are hand-forged by heating steel at the forge and shaping it on the anvil.

Hot-dip galvanising is a key stage for lasting corrosion protection. The finished assembly is immersed in molten zinc to form a durable metallic coating resistant to rust and weather exposure. Powder coating follows: charged paint particles are applied to the metal and cured in an oven for an attractive, even, durable finish resistant to scratches and UV radiation.

Technical features:

  • Type: Double-leaf driveway swing gate.
  • Material: Hand-shaped forged steel.
  • Corrosion protection: Hot-dip galvanising to PN-EN ISO 1461.
  • Surface finish: Powder coating for lasting appearance and outdoor resistance.
  • Style: Classic ornaments, S-scrolls, rosettes and forged bar finials.

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
