About this project
This pedestrian gate has classic styling with rich ornamentation inspired by traditional artistic blacksmithing. It combines practical function with an attractive architectural feature for the property.
Each component is made by traditional hand forging. The anvil and forge are used to hand-shape the steel after heating. This produces individual, precise details. The process gives the components mechanical strength and durability. Careful craftsmanship provides strong joints. Twisted components and forged leaves and grapes show the detailed craftsmanship.
The gate receives a two-stage protective treatment for long-term weather and corrosion resistance:
- Hot-dip galvanising provides lasting corrosion protection. Immersion in molten zinc forms a durable protective coating. The coating bonds metallurgically with the steel. This protects the steel from weather exposure and extends service life.
- Powder coating provides an attractive final finish. Powder paint is applied and cured at high temperature. It forms an even coating. The finish resists scratching, UV radiation, fading. A broad colour range allows coordination with the surroundings.
These treatments support lasting practical use with limited maintenance, creating a durable feature of the property.
How your project takes shape
Site survey and design
Site survey and adaptation to the ground profile.
Forging and welding
Hand-forming steel in a traditional forge and fitting the gate leaves.
Galvanising and painting
Immersion at 450°C (ISO 1461) plus oven-cured powder coating.
Installation and automation
Resin anchoring without welding at the customer’s property.
Construction details
Hand-forged steel
Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.
Surface protection
Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.
Automation-ready design
Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).
Structural fixing
High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
What determines the price?
The price depends on the clear opening dimensions, material thickness and infill density, ground profile, opening mechanism and selected automation system.
