Form and character

About this project

This wrought sliding gate combines craftsmanship with a distinctive nature-inspired design. Intricate leaves and climbing vines are made through traditional hand forging. Steel is heated at the forge and shaped with hammer and anvil for individual character and strength.

Hot-dip galvanising provides lasting corrosion protection. A durable zinc coating protects the steel against rust. This protects the steel from weather exposure and extends service life. Powder coating provides an attractive final finish. Powder paint is applied. It forms an even coating. The finish resists scratching, UV radiation. It also adds a further protective layer. The surface is prepared before coating to support a lasting appearance and practical function.

The gate is fitted to its supporting posts using expansion fixings, chemical anchors or metal anchors. Installation avoids on-site welding, helping prevent local corrosion and preserve the protective coating for stable, long-term use.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
