Form and character

About this project

This wrought swing gate has a classic style with rich botanical ornamentation, particularly grapevine and leaf motifs. Every decorative component is carefully hand-made using traditional artistic blacksmithing.

The manufacturing process includes:

  • Traditional forging: Decorative leaves, shoots and grapes begin at the forge, where the metal is heated until workable and then shaped on the anvil with a hammer and specialist tools. This gives each detail individual character and durability.
  • Hot-dip galvanising: Once formed and joined, the assembly is immersed in molten zinc at approximately 450°C. The specified protective coating is around 70-150 micrometres thick, providing effective corrosion protection for lasting resistance to rust and weather exposure with reduced maintenance.
  • Powder coating: Powder paint is applied electrostatically to the galvanised surface and cured in an oven at high temperature. It creates an even, smooth finish highly resistant to mechanical damage and UV radiation. Standard finishes are matt black or anthracite.

The gate is designed for swing operation, providing a durable, attractive property entrance.

From concept to installation

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.

What determines the price?

The price depends on the clear opening dimensions, material thickness and infill density, ground profile, opening mechanism and selected automation system.
