About this project
This letterbox combines classic artistic blacksmithing with subtle botanical forms. Carefully shaped roses and leaves are the main decoration, giving it a timeless character suited to a range of façades and fences.
Traditional blacksmithing forms the basis of manufacture. Skilled craftspeople hand-shape each component at the anvil and hearth, producing individual details and a durable structure with a character distinct from mass-produced pieces.
Hot-dip galvanising protects the letterbox against corrosion. Immersion in molten zinc creates a durable protective layer against rust, moisture and outdoor exposure, supporting long service life and retaining its appearance and function.
The final stage is powder coating: electrically charged powder particles are applied to the metal and cured at high temperature. This creates a smooth, even finish resistant to mechanical wear, UV and corrosion. Colour options include classic black and aged brown tones that highlight the forged character.
