About this project
The Relikwiarz forged wall cabinet combines artistic metalwork with practical storage. Its arched frame and perforated steel mesh draw on Neo-Gothic forms and traditional blacksmithing, recalling historic devotional grilles.
Key construction and finishing details:
- Material and forging: Solid steel, traditionally forged to create a distinctive metal texture.
- Surface protection: Hot-dip galvanised steel, powder-coated dark graphite with a subtle patina.
- Brass details: A sturdy turned latch and forged hinges in solid brass for durable use and wear resistance.
- Storage layout: An upper row of hooks and a letter compartment inside. An integrated lower exterior shelf and four sturdy hooks hold keys or accessories.
The substantial, stable cabinet is built for long-term use and adds a distinctive decorative feature to loft, classic and eclectic interiors.
