About this project
This forged letterbox with classic ornamentation combines practical use with traditional artistic metalwork. Rich decoration includes hand-formed leaves and a symbolic post horn for an authentic, timeless style.
Manufacture uses traditional blacksmithing methods. Each component is hand-shaped with a hammer and anvil at the forge hearth, producing individual textures and details that reflect the craftsperson’s work.
Hot-dip galvanising improves durability outdoors. Immersion of the steel in molten zinc creates an even protective coating for long-term corrosion protection against rust and weather.
The final finish is powder coating. Powder is applied electrostatically to the galvanised surface and heat-cured, producing resistance to mechanical wear, UV and corrosion. A patina effect highlights the classic character.
