This classic decorative forged letterbox is an outdoor architectural detail made from steel for durability and a distinctive appearance.
Traditional blacksmithing forms every detail by hand at the anvil and open forge hearth. This method gives the piece individual character and highlights the craftsmanship.
The following surface treatments protect against weather and corrosion:
- Hot-dip galvanising: Immersion in molten zinc creates a durable metallic coating against rust, moisture and weather.
- Powder coating: After galvanising, powder coating provides an even decorative finish with resistance to scratches, UV and weather, adding a further corrosion barrier. Available colours include graphite, black, brown, grey and green.
