About this project
This classic forged letterbox combines precise craftsmanship with protective surface treatment. Inspired by traditional artistic ironwork, it features a sturdy body and a decorative protective cover.
Traditional steel forging at the anvil and hearth gives each component individual character and mechanical strength. After shaping, the letterbox receives two surface treatments:
- Hot-dip galvanising: Immersion in molten zinc creates a durable metallic coating against rust, moisture and weather.
- Powder coating: After galvanising, powder coating provides an even decorative finish with resistance to scratches, UV and weather, adding a further corrosion barrier.
