Form and character

About this project

This artistic wrought-iron tree fence is a crafted piece of functional metalwork with flowing organic forms inspired by Art Nouveau. The supporting frame and infill follow the natural structure of a tree, from a substantial textured trunk through branching limbs to individually forged leaves.

Traditional open-die forging creates realistic, irregular bark texture on the steel sections and a distinct shape for each botanical detail. The panel is designed for installation on a curved plinth with split-stone or clinker-brick posts.

  • Structural material: Certified S235JR mild steel.
  • Corrosion protection: Hot-dip galvanising in accordance with PN-EN ISO 1461 for protection of the steel outdoors.
  • Surface finish: Textured black or deep graphite powder coating with hand-applied patina to highlight the forged relief, trunk and leaf veins.
  • Technical features: A single-leaf forged pedestrian gate follows the branch composition, with adjustable hinges and a lock built into the steel trunk.
  • Nominal panel dimensions: Approx. 2000 mm high and 3200 mm wide; the design can be fully adapted to the project requirements.

Material and craftsmanship

Construction details

Hand-forged steel

Certified weldable S235JR / C45 steel. Traditional forge forming and precise fitting of components.

Surface protection

Hot-dip galvanising (PN-EN ISO 1461, coating thickness 70–85 µm) plus electrostatically applied polyester powder coating in your chosen RAL colour.

Automation-ready design

Reinforced structural sections and pre-installed conduits for drive systems from leading brands (FAAC, Nice, Somfy).

Structural fixing

High-load chemical anchors. No welding on site preserves the intact galvanised coating.
