Stair railing with bulrush motifs

A botanical design following the stairs

The infill resembles a stand of water plants: slender stems rise from the bottom and end in elongated bulrush heads, with curved leaves spreading between them. Dark steel and warmer highlights on the details give the railing character without dense rosettes.

The photographs show the design alongside timber treads and white walls. The motif continues from the sloping stair sections onto the horizontal landing railing. The handrail follows changes in direction, while the plant motifs are arranged to suit each section.

Manufacture and fitting

We make the railing to order after agreeing the stair geometry, height, infill spacing and fixing points. The powder-coat colour, decorative highlights and handrail type are selected for the interior. The fixing method must suit the substrate and the finish of the treads.

Guide price and quotation

The indicative price is for 1 linear metre of powder-coated railing with a standard handrail made from a steel section, flat bar or engraved tube. Any galvanising is specified in the quotation.

The final quotation depends on the length and geometry of the sections, the chosen finish and the installation conditions. Dimensions and fixings are specified for the particular balcony, window or staircase.
